Live Manikins Present: Still Life Project

Crew: Live Manikins
Album: “Still Life Project”
Members: Flavius, Runt Rock, Self, Rated R, Linguistics

By Aaris A. Schroeder
Founder/Editor-In-Chief

Engineered and produced by Nick Gatten who plays guitar, bass, clarinet, bass clarinet, drums, French horn and piano, using Cubase to put the beats and sounds together for conscious hip-hop group, Live Manikins made up of several emcees, Runt Rock, Self, Flavious, Linguistics and DJ Rated R – bringing us back to basics with true musical sounds.

Sounds like indie hip-hop mixed with cognizant cartoons and old school b-boy reverberations with such songs as “Rock the Mic.” Another song entitled, “Cruisin,” proves that Live Manikins can be mindful of instrumental perfection, loosely laid samples, drum and bass musical manipulation and key emcee signature levels.
